D.A.R.E. continues its record-breaking growth, marking 41 years of innovation and leadership. Over 400 new agencies have launched the D.A.R.E. program, and nearly 2,500 new officers have been trained to teach its life-changing curricula. In the past three years alone, 118 D.A.R.E. Officer Trainings have certified 2,458 law enforcement officers to teach the evidence-based and effective "keepin’ it REAL" elementary and middle school curricula, along with the high school Playbook curriculum.
Around the globe, Pilot Clubs are dedicated to supporting and promoting education. The Pilot Club of Baytown, a Texas District club of Pilot International, continues this important work. For more information about the Pilot Club, the upcoming Yellow Rose Gala fundraiser on April 29, 2025, or joining as a volunteer, visit Pilot Club of Baytown, contact any Pilot member, or call 281-413-6488. Be sure to check out their updates on the Pilot Club of Baytown Facebook page.
The Pilot Club of Baytown’s Education Group has made a generous donation to the Sterling Municipal Library to help expand its collection of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) resources. TBI is a key focus for Texas Pilot and Anchor Clubs, led by Past Texas District Governor, Joanna Horton.
Texas District Pilot Clubs play an active role in organizing and volunteering at overnight Traumatic Brain Injury camps, which are also supported by campsite property owners and various donations. These camps provide a valuable retreat for adults living with head injuries and their families, offering a wide range of activities such as fishing, shopping, dancing, picnics, bingo, arts and crafts, horseback riding, baseball, paintball, swimming, and much more.
Upcoming TBI camps include:
Higher Ground: May 1-4, 2025
Mountain High: September 7-11, 2025
Circle of Friends: November 6-9, 2025
